  • KRA Reintroduces Tax Amnesty Programme

A six-month window under the Finance Act, 2026 offering a full waiver of penalties, interest and fines on eligible tax liabilities.

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has reintroduced the Tax Amnesty Programme under the Finance Act, 2026, giving eligible taxpayers a six-month opportunity to regularise their tax affairs.

The amnesty, running from 1 July to 31 December 2026, provides a 100% waiver of penalties, interest and fines on eligible tax liabilities accrued up to 31 December 2025, provided the applicable conditions are met. Taxpayers who have already settled their principal tax may qualify for automatic relief, while others can benefit by paying the outstanding principal tax or enrolling in an approved payment plan through iTax.

Need help taking advantage of the tax amnesty? Crowdstage Office can review your tax position, guide you through the amnesty process, and assist with tax compliance and financial administration before the 31 December 2026 deadline.
